About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Wichita, KS. Position Responsibilities: Leads the team to become resourceful in seeking answers/guidance to complex problems. Able to perform duties related to customer and supplier facing activities. This includes but is not limited to customer and/or supplier travel for on-site training and reviews. Responsible for meeting/exceeding customer quality metrics to ensure customer preferred supplier status. Conducts Corrective Actions Board (CAB) with customers, suppliers and internal BDSI organization. Can ensure a robust RCCA that will satisfy internal and external requirements. Lead all on customer scorecards metrics. Works with quality specialist to Lead all purge activities and ensure containment is within 48 hours globally. Works with customers on RMA products and submits documents for MRB approval. Writes quality plans, sampling plans, and inspections plans for customer products. Reviews RCCAs for trend analysis to work process improvements. Helps train team members as needed on various quality topics. Assists in the writing and reviewing of technical and performance specifications, quality plans, sampling plans, and inspections procedures. Drives PFMEA activity internally and with suppliers as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering or related field of study
  • 4 - 6 years of related work experience
  • Experience with execution of root cause corrective actions (RCCA)
  • Knowledge of AS9100/9120 Standards
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
  • This position requires traveling up to 25% of the time.
