About The Position

Quality Engineer (Associate, Experienced, Senior) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Associate, Experienced, Senior) to support the Quality team in Mesa, Arizona! This position will be supporting a fabrication environment to support planning reviews, inspection planning development, and be responsible for resolving large scale issues be developing metric plans with cross-functional engineering teams. Successful candidates will have a technical background with strong communications skills with multi-disciplinary teams and an understanding of first-time quality and continuous improvement. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in data analytics and background in composites and/or metals fabrication. Position Responsibilities: Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation. Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under general supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science or computer science
  • More than 1 year of experience in manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • More than 1 year of experience using Excel to perform data analysis
  • More than 1 year of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

Nice To Haves

  • Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience in Model Based Definition (MBD)
  • Experience in First Article Inspection (FAI/AS9102)
  • Experience with Composites or Metals fabrication
  • Experience in a role that required presentation skills
