Requirements

  • Must have 3-5 years Flexographic printer operator experience including experience with wideweb and CI presses
  • 3-5 years Experience Printing in water & solvent based inks
  • Understand film and paper web tension and taper
  • Understanding of printing terminology
  • Able to troubleshoot problems and report back to supervision for corrective and preventive actions
  • Successfully operate X-Rite spectrodensitometer color proofing system
  • Understanding of color theory.

Responsibilities

  • Correctly sets up and operates 10 color central impression press
  • Report all maintenance problems as soon as issue is discovered
  • Learn to read and understand work orders and correlating S.O.P's
  • Follow all required information instructions on work orders
  • Continuously check print during run and monitor ink density, dot gain, color, register, print to start, repeat, web width, etc
  • Maintain the proper flow of roll tags to insure accurate paper/film usage and inventory
  • Perform proper startup, clean up and shut down procedures
  • Properly fill out and maintain QC database at job start-up and completion of every printed roll.
