About The Position

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an Experienced Mechanical/Utilities Engineer within our Food & Beverage group.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering from a college or university
At least 4 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

On-site experience in integrating equipment into existing systems
Experience with equipment selection
Experience developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for food and/or industrial projects
EIT certification, PE license strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Experience with AutoDesk software (Revit, Navisworks, Plant 3D, etc)
Experience with hydraulic analysis software (Pipe-Flo, AFT Fathom, etc.)
Experience with pipe stress analysis software (AutoPIPE, Caesar, etc.)
Familiarity with managing project invoices
Experience mentoring less experienced staff.
Food plant experience

Responsibilities

Conducting job-site surveys of food and beverage plants and utility systems
Developing project documentation including drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.
Selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems
Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Travel will be required.
