As a skilled and empathetic Personal Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing compassionate, personalized care in the comfort of their homes. Your work will empower clients to live independently while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Requirements
- A compassionate, reliable, and responsible individual.
- Physical ability to assist with personal care tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of professional caregiving experience (or a willingness to learn—we provide training!).
- Cleared through NABs in the past 6 months.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required for travel between clients).
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care to clients according to their individual care plans
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting (including catheter care)
- Assist with mobility and transfers to promote physical well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences
- Understanding of various diet textures and thickened liquid consistencies
- Provide light housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean environment for clients
- Monitor for fall safety hazards to prevent falls
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping, and other outings as required.
- Deliver personalized care tailored to clients' individual care plans.
- Document care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the supervisor
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each client
