About The Position

Service Care, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking a full-time Experienced Appliance Technician to join our Operations team. You will work locally, traveling to customer sites within the area. YOUR DAY As an Experienced Appliance Technician, you will tackle advanced diagnostics and repairs for a wide variety of things, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, washing machines, dryers, and microwaves. You'll use your technical expertise to solve complex problems, order specialized parts, and ensure every machine is performing at its best. You will interact directly with customers to explain technical issues and solutions, provide accurate estimates, and ensure satisfaction. Beyond repairs, you will mentor junior technicians, maintain detailed documentation, and uphold quality standards and safety regulations. You'll continually build your skills through ongoing education and play a key leadership role in a supportive team focused on delivering outstanding service. EXPERIENCED APPLIANCE TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent (vocational or technical training in advanced appliance repair required) 3+ years of experience as an Appliance Repair Technician I or equivalent Valid driver's license and any required certifications for advanced appliance repair In-depth knowledge in diagnosing and repairing a broad range of household appliances Relevant certifications for advanced, related repair and continued education Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Leadership skills to mentor and guide junior technicians Adaptability to evolving technology and industry standards Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy appliances OUR STORY Service Care has provided appliance repair in Birmingham, Alabama, and the surrounding area for nearly 30 years, but our roots in the industry go way back to 1934! Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (vocational or technical training in advanced appliance repair required)

Responsibilities

Tackle advanced diagnostics and repairs for a wide variety of things, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, washing machines, dryers, and microwaves
Use your technical expertise to solve complex problems, order specialized parts, and ensure every machine is performing at its best
Interact directly with customers to explain technical issues and solutions, provide accurate estimates, and ensure satisfaction
Mentor junior technicians
