Responsibilities

• Performs month-end functions such as various payroll deduction and cash account reconciliations, analyzes data on monthly payroll transactions, reviews trends on salary expenses, assists with year-end accounting tasks and audits, creating journal entries, and other assigned accounting tasks.
• Completes analytic projects, prepares reports, and performs financial analysis by completing related duties on an ongoing basis as assigned (includes audit and cost reporting schedules).
• Initiates process improvements.
• Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
• Complies with the Ochsner Health System Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, including the immediate reporting of any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct; patient/employee safety, patient privacy, and/or other compliance-related concerns.
