About The Position

Jeff Wyler Florence Buick GMC is seeking an experienced, driven, and detail-oriented Parts Manager to lead and elevate their Parts Department at a well-established, family-owned franchise dealership. This role is critical to overall dealership profitability, supporting both Fixed Operations and Wholesale growth while ensuring operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and superior internal and external customer service. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong financial acumen, deep understanding of automotive parts operations, and a track record of increasing gross profit, improving turn rates, and building high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5+ years of experience as a Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager in a franchise dealership
  • Strong knowledge of OEM parts operations, inventory control, and pricing matrices
  • Proven track record of improving gross profit, inventory turns, and departmental efficiency
  • Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, etc.)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Financial acumen with ability to analyze reports and drive results
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including a background check, MVR, and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Parts Department operations including retail, wholesale, and internal service support
  • Lead, coach, and develop parts staff to drive productivity, accountability, and customer satisfaction
  • Establish and monitor departmental KPIs including: Gross Profit & GP%, Inventory Turns, Fill Rate & First-Time Availability, Obsolescence & Shrinkage
  • Collaborate closely with Service and Sales departments to maximize internal capture and efficiency
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance availability with cash flow
  • Implement and manage parts pricing strategies and matrix optimization
  • Monitor and control obsolescence, returns, and write-offs
  • Ensure accurate bin counts, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory processes
  • Analyze financial statements and departmental reports to drive profitability
  • Grow and manage wholesale parts business through strategic pricing and relationship management
  • Develop competitive programs for independent repair facilities and body shops
  • Ensure timely deliveries, accurate orders, and high service levels for wholesale accounts
  • Maintain OEM compliance and standards for parts operations
  • Ensure all warranty parts returns, cores, and vendor processes are handled properly
  • Implement efficient workflows using dealership systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department
