The Expeditor is responsible for daily reviewing the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) Commitment report and Past Due reports to identify material shortages, plans, releases, and schedule work orders required to complete ETA and past due orders.
Daily review of the ETA Commitment report generated by the planning department to identify material shortages and prioritizes them accordingly.
Release production Work Orders (WO) needed to complete ETA’s and past due customer orders.
Verify that ETA’s are completed and shipped as scheduled.
Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
Communicate and collaborate with external departments to ensure orders are completed and shipped in a timely manner.
Identifies problems in workflows and recommend necessary modifications in affected departments and teams to Supervisor.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and internal safety regulations and policies.
Adhere to and promotes all company safety rules and requirements.
Performs other duties as required.
High School diploma or equivalent is required
1 year experience working in a manufacturing setting
Knowledge of production processes and quality control
Ability to problem solve in the event of workflow bottlenecks or shortages
Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to analyze information and evaluate results for best outcome
Strong time management skills
Basic knowledge of engineering drawings
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Working knowledge of an Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) tool
English (reading, writing, verbal), bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
Basic math skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply)
Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holiday hours.
Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.
