As an Expansion Program Manager, you will be working collaboratively and independently with the Senior Expansion Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Project Managers and others to oversee and manage projects to grow a company, which can involve opening new facilities, expanding existing facilities, and increasing production capacity. Key responsibilities include project planning, defining scope, managing budgets and timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The role also involves risk management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring compliance with all necessary standards.

  • Develop project plans, define scope and goals, and manage the entire project lifecycle from initial concept through to completion and closure.
  • Create and manage project budgets, forecast spending, and oversee resource allocation, including headcount, materials, and equipment.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, construction, sales, HR) and act as the primary point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project timelines, cost, or quality. Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and legal regulations.
  • Maintain clear communication with all parties, track project performance, and provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, milestones, and risks.
  • Ensure expansion strategies align with overall business objectives and contribute to the company's long-term growth plans.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, including resource allocation and procurement strategies.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, external vendors, and contractors to ensure alignment and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise project implementation, coordinating vendor and internal team activities to ensure the project meets brand standards and performance requirements.
  • Conduct post-mortem analyses to assess project success, capture lessons learned and refine best practices for future expansion projects.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like engineering, industrial management, business or a related field is required.
  • 5+ years of hands-on project management experience, particularly with large-scale capital projects, manufacturing operations, or construction.
  • Experience in a senior project leadership role is preferred.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet), as well as financial and data analysis tools.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
