About The Position

Our Exhibit Ambassadors create a meaningful, high-quality experience for all guests by ensuring that our exhibits and loose parts are maintained and set up to inspire a playful, hands-on learning experience. This position maintains Museum exhibit spaces to provide a safe, clean, and engaging environment for our visitors. This role acts as a caretaker for over 5,000 loose parts, which have a critical role in empowering children and their grown-ups to shape their Museum experience and actively learn through play.

Responsibilities

  • Circulate the Museum floor to ensure that all exhibits and loose parts are organized and ready for guests to engage in playful learning.
  • Conduct daily inspections of all exhibits and loose parts to ensure they are in good condition, providing feedback where repairs, maintenance, or replacement is needed.
  • Perform Museum facility and exhibit opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming Museum environment.
  • Foster positive interactions with children and guests by answering questions and sharing insights to enrich their exhibit play experiences.
  • Become familiar with the Museum’s exhibits and loose parts and understand how they support child development.
  • Demonstrate playful interactions with loose parts for guests to highlight their value in play and learning.
  • Observe visitors as they utilize exhibits and loose parts and provide feedback to help improve and enhance the Museum experience.
  • Adhere to all Museum safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that all exhibits and loose parts meet quality and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
