The Exercise Specialist assists in the care of the cardiac patient in multiple modalities. Provides all patient care in the Cardiac-Pulmonary department and ECP, where appropriate. Provides lifestyle modification, education and exercise prescription for the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary patients and community education. Requirements
- Bachelors in Fitness/Sports Studies Required.
- Bachelor of Science in one of the following areas: Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Health Human Performance & Recreation, Exercise Physiology
- Minimum License: BLS (CPR), ACLS
- Previous internship in a Cardiac Rehab program
Responsibilities
- Assists in the care of the cardiac patient in multiple modalities.
- Provides all patient care in the Cardiac-Pulmonary department and ECP, where appropriate.
- Provides lifestyle modification, education and exercise prescription for the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary patients and community education.
