The rehab services Exercise Specialist, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), prepares patients for and assists therapists in treatment, instructs patients in exercise techniques, proper use of equipment, and general fitness, demonstrates a good working knowledge of treatment techniques, maintains the department in a clean and orderly fashion, communicates appropriate patient information, assures adequate stock of supplies and performs clerical duties. When needs arise, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

BLS required through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross; ACLS preferred.
Bachelor of Science degree in healthcare related field, preferred in Exercise Science, Biology, Physiology, or Kinesiology.
Prior experience in a patient care related field preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Bachelors Degree
