About The Position

Provides Athletic Republic® program services to regional athletes including evaluations, training, and documentation components, as assigned. Responsible to oversee and coordinate the delivery of the Athletic Republic® programs as well as assist with daily operations of the Avera Human Performance Center. Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or 1-2 years related experience required and/or training in Athletic Republic® performance sports training program
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach - National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of various sports and athletic experience.
  • Assists with daily building operations (batting cages, golf, turf grooming, and basketball court preparations) as well as facility cleaning and front desk operations.
  • Assists with daily delivery of Athletic Republic® training program (program prescription, design and administration).
  • Spots and advises proper mechanics on the treadmills (running and hockey).
  • Establishes rapport and work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, physical therapist, athletic trainers) as necessary throughout athlete's training program.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, workshops, etc. Shares new knowledge with coworkers.
  • Participates in program development of the department.
  • Educates and advises athletes, coaches and community members on proper training program design.
  • Communicates effectively with athlete, family, coach and other inter-disciplinary team members regarding athlete's status, progress and needs.
  • Promotes Avera Sports Institute programs and services.
