As an Exercise Planner, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the III Armored Corps and the Fort Hood Texas Mission Training Complex. You will play a crucial role in planning efforts for Cadet Summer Training, Joint exercises, and additional planning efforts as required. Be the liaison between the IIIAC and the Fort Hood Mission Training Complex, and assisting in sourcing the Army Service Requirement events assigned to IIIAC. At GDIT, people are our differentiators. As an Exercise Planner, you will directly support the III Armored Corps (IIIAC) G5 Plans in the IIIAC Headquarters at Fort Hood, Texas, providing hands-on support to planning events that strengthens unit readiness and operational effectiveness. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT Lead the planning effort for the IIIAC Cadet Summer Training rotations, Joint Exercises, Army Service Component requirement events, and additional efforts as required to ensure the event requirements are sourced correctly and tasked unit's are able to complete the mission. Facilitate planning events across the event or exercise life cycle and support After Action Reviews (AARs) requirements. Collaborate with multiple headquarters and stakeholders inside and outside of IIIAC in support of planning efforts. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
  • Experience: 9+ years of related experience
  • Technical skills: Experience with Microsoft 365 and it's collaboration capabilities
  • Security clearance level: Secret Level Clearance required to start
  • US citizenship required
  • Former Corps or Division staff officer MEL4 qualified
  • Proven expertise in Army and Corps or Division staff operations
  • An understanding of the integrating staff processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects all in different stages of the event lifecycle
