Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field Required
  • Clinical Other\BCLS - Basic Life Support CPR Certified Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for exercise testing, assessment, monitoring, development and implementation of the exercise programs.
  • Responsible for managing daily activities of the exercise facility.
  • Demonstrates a visible working style that is consistent with and demonstrates a commitment to the organization's vision and values.
  • Leads and monitors daily classes.
  • Assumes daily supervision of individual exercise programs and supervision of contract staff as needed.
  • Updates exercise recommendations on all individual exercise program participants.
  • Progresses client exercises according to individual abilities.
  • Updates exercise recommendations on all individual exercise program participants.
  • Provides assessment, education, and documentation of clients’ individual exercise programs.
  • Refers to appropriate program for client assistance in achieving health goals.
  • Performs other departmental duties related to health promotion, staff meetings, public relations, marketing, collection of membership dues, record keeping, and scheduling.
  • Serves as a Resource person for Outpatient Therapy Services and other staff as needed.
  • Leads exercise groups in stretching and/or strength training and if asked to give lectures on fitness-related topics.
  • Meets regularly with Supervisor and provides Supervisor with updates on facility operations.
