About The Position
Exercise Physiologist Samaritan Hospital Full Time Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm Position Highlights: Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development What you will do: Provide direct patient care to individuals participating in the CardioPulmonary Rehab and Wellness programs at both Albany and Troy locations.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or kinesiology.
- ACSM-EP, ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist
- ACSM-CEP, ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist
- BLS, ACLS, and EKG interpretation certification required within 1 year of hire.
- Fun personality and strong desire to motivate others.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred certification by the American Society of Exercise Physiologists.
- Previous rehab experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of individualized treatment plans.
- Provide patient education
- Develop and lead exercise classes
- Assist patients with equipment and ensure safety
- Assess and reassess patient to achieve both program and personal goals
