About The Position

Since 1893, Backus Hospital has been the primary source of healthcare services for much of Eastern Connecticut. We are home to the only trauma center in New London and Windham counties and are the only area hospital with LIFE STAR helicopter services. We deliver and coordinate a continuum of high-quality healthcare with the goal of improving the health of our communities. JOB SUMMARY Supervises the performance of and provides preliminary interpretation of diagnostic cardiac exercise and pharmacologic stress testing according to department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in exercise physiology or similar science-based allied health curriculum.
• 3 to 6 month clinical internship in stress testing.
• BSN, certified as ACSM Certified clinical exercise physiologist or eligible.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or similar science-based allied health curriculum preferred.
• One (1) year clinical experience in stress testing preferred.
