The Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute Cardiac Rehab Department at Cleveland Clinic offers an exciting and dynamic environment for exercise physiologists, performing over 8,000 inpatient and 7,000 outpatient cardiac rehab visits each year. This diverse patient population, from individuals undergoing preventive testing to those with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions, provides both a challenging and highly educational experience. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will develop individualized exercise prescriptions and oversee exercise progression for patients with cardiovascular disease in a rehabilitative setting. In this role, you will conduct patient testing before and after rehabilitation, including assessments of strength, body composition, flexibility, balance and endurance. Using test data, patient status and current medication regimens, you will create and update exercise prescriptions based on patient responses. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days between 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with Saturday availability. This position is primarily based at Main Campus with some shifts at Fairview Hospital, and have the option to pick up shifts at any site if they choose. A caregiver who excels in this role will:
