About The Position

The ideal candidate for Executive Steward at La Bahia Hotel is an organized and detailed-oriented professional with a passion in efficiency. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of hotel china, silverware, and cookware. This position requires individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to meeting the needs of our guests while embracing La Bahia and Spa’s luxury service standards (inspired by Forbes) and unique experiences throughout the hotel.

Requirements

  • (2-3) years or more minimum experience as Steward and/or similar experience in a luxury hotel and/or resort.
  • Dynamic and entrepreneurial - able to lead a team to success by leading by example.
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
  • Strong Communication Skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight (Up to 50lbs).
  • Endurance to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and cost control principles.
  • Flexible to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain impeccable hygiene standards in all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure all Food & Beverage equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored.
  • Monitor and maintain stewarding equipment in collaboration with the Engineering team.
  • Restock and distribute clean operating equipment to all outlets and banquet facilities.
  • Coordinate with outlet teams to understand and fulfill equipment requirements.
  • Implement proper handling procedures to extend equipment lifespan and minimize damage.
  • Partner with culinary and service teams to optimize equipment usage and care.
  • Support management initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate par levels for operating equipment.
  • Participate in regular inventory checks and asset maintenance programs.
  • Help establish and enforce proper equipment handling protocols.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cleaning processes and equipment care.
  • Contribute to sustainability efforts through proper waste management.
  • Support training initiatives for proper equipment handling across departments.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
