Requirements

  • Five (5) years of experience in a stewarding role.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume hospitality environment, such as hotels, resorts or large-scale catering operations.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Organization & Multitasking: Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
  • Sanitation & Hygiene Compliance: Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene regulations.
  • Inventory & Budget Management: Proficiency in inventory management and budget control.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Performance Under Pressure: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring that cleanliness and sanitation standards are not only met but exceeded. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to maintain order and efficiency in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Lead by example, recruiting, training, and supervising stewarding team to foster a positive and productive work environment. Schedule shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage and conduct regular performance evaluations to support team growth and development.
  • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, kitchen tools, and equipment, including silverware, plate ware, and glassware for all of the various outlets. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and replenishment of necessary items, maintaining optimal stock levels to support seamless operations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards, keeping our team and guests safe and secure.
  • Assist in developing and managing the stewarding department budget. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety, contributing to the financial health of the casino.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to understand and support their needs, providing daily maintenance cleaning and weekly deep cleaning of all kitchen areas to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Coordinate with other departments to create a seamless and exceptional guest experience, demonstrating our commitment to teamwork and excellence.
