About The Position

Provide direct protective services for executives and their families. Ensure safety through proactive planning and situational awareness. Conduct threat assessments, secure travel routes, and respond to evolving risks in real time.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related experience including experience operating and leading personal protection detail; experience in law enforcement or the military is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of access control, camera, and burglary / fire alarm systems
  • Mastery of applying proactive threat assessment methods
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Advanced verbal / written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, interact with high-energy customers and apply appropriate judgment
  • Ability to properly handle, maintain, and demonstrate proficiency with firearms
  • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations and maintain optimism in high-stress environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and apply appropriate judgment
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality / discretion and pass annual background checks / random drug screens
  • A related degree of comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
  • Successfully obtain Non-Commissioned / Commissioned Security Licenses through Texas Private Security Board and pass 80-hour training program for Level III or IV certification
  • Deploy within 24-48 hours in emergency and critical situations
  • A valid driver's license with an exemplary driving record
  • A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements
  • Successfully complete yearly physical capacity / agility screening; maintain appropriate physical standards including agility, physical strength, and stamina to respond to emergency situations; restrain and apprehend suspects; lift, push, or pull individuals or objects weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Maintain high personal hygiene standards and a neat and professional appearance including clean and pressed uniforms
  • Meet specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, ability to discern colors, and work in a night setting (mandatory)
  • Accurately key information into data system
  • Sit for extended periods
  • Function in a fast-paced, retail, and non-retail environment
  • Work weekends, holidays, and perform shift work (mandatory)

Responsibilities

  • Drives threat assessment activities for H-E-B executives and their families; identifies potential threats and level of risk.
  • Assesses risk and creates plans for various scenarios which may be encountered.
  • Contributes to planning of travel routes; creates secure paths to and from locations and takes defensive actions as needed.
  • Accompanies H-E-B executives during travel.
  • Provides protective services and guards specific locations on behalf of the executive.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and discretion; handles sensitive information related to H-E-B executives and their families.
  • Applies sound judgment and makes quick, effective decisions in dynamic or high-pressure situations.
  • Utilizes advanced knowledge and experience to act as a key resource to resolve complex security challenges.
