About The Position

The Executive Risk & Legal Administration Manager serves as a leader responsible for identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across the organization. This role oversees legal, operational compliance, vendor, and insurance-related exposures and ensures the company remains compliant, contractually protected, and aligned with best-practice risk reduction protocols. Working closely with executive leadership, legal counsel, insurance carriers, and operational teams, the Manager plays a key role in protecting the organization's financial stability, reputation, and legal Integrity.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in risk management, legal compliance, or corporate governance; experience in property management or real estate is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry-specific risk factors, including landlord-tenant law, insurance claims handling, and contract negotiation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to draft clear, legally sound correspondence and executive-ready reports. Bilingual a plus.
  • High emotional intelligence, professional discretion, and sound judgment in sensitive or high-stakes situations.
  • Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Proficiency in incident tracking systems and document management platforms (e.g., Docusign)
  • Extended/thorough knowledge of property management and property management software. (i.e., OneSite).
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exhibit professional appearance and understanding of business etiquette and demonstrate common sense, discretion, and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive business and other matters involving the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive risk management strategies, policies, and controls across all business units.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to TAA, Fair Housing, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, and state-specific landlord-tenant regulations.
  • Conduct periodic audits and assessments of operational practices to identify vulnerabilities, policy gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage legal claims, incidents, demand letters, and pre-litigation matters in collaboration with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with attorneys, insurance adjusters, regulatory agencies, and compliance entities.
  • Lead and document internal investigations related to incidents, complaints, and legal escalations; develop corrective action plans as needed.
  • Review, negotiate, and approve vendor agreements with the Executive team, service contracts, property management contracts, and indemnification of language to minimize organizational liability.
  • Oversee the intake, evaluation, and resolution of incident reports and resident or internal escalations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records, including certificates of insurance, incident logs, litigation summaries, and risk-related documentation.
  • Provide guidance to field teams and leadership during high-risk or time-sensitive situations.
  • Lead organization-wide training programs on incident reporting, legal compliance, risk mitigation, and operational best practices.
  • Draft and deliver executive-level reports, dashboards, and summaries highlighting emerging risks, claims trends, and recommended preventive measures.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to promote a strong culture of risk awareness and accountability.
  • Support the Executive Team with daily tasks. Ability to Draft and deliver executive-level reports for board meetings and clients.
