In this role, the intern will work closely with the Policy and Legislation team as well as the Communications and the Small Business Initiative teams. https Program Duration: June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills and work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a responsible and sensitive manner
  • Proficient in using graphic design & illustration software and Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within teams

Responsibilities

  • Work with the SBI team on expanding and maintaining a database of community partner organizations by region and categories
  • Help prepare documents for external meetings with community partner organizations, including but not limited to one-pager about Treasury’s Small Business Initiative, template emails to community partners
  • Prepare research for SBI team as needed
  • Aid SBI team with updating the online toolkit and weekly events and resources document
  • Assist team in reviewing and confirming any resources’ contacts update and addresses that do not map successfully on MassGIS data platform
  • Note taking during meetings
  • Other duties as needed
