About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping operations of our 60-room hotel, condominiums and townhome property. The ideal candidate will ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation, providing an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management certification or degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of housekeeping supervisory experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in housekeeping software and basic office applications (e.g., PMS, Coupa, Legion, SuccessFactors, etc).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Standing and walking for long periods.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and occasional use of ladders or step stools.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping staff including room attendants and public area attendants.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring efficient room turnover and timely cleaning schedules.
  • Manage linen inventory and supply levels; oversee ordering and storing of housekeeping supplies.
  • Maintain housekeeping records, including timekeeping, room inspection reports, and maintenance requests.
  • Collaborate with front desk and maintenance departments to ensure timely room readiness and resolve guest issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain staff performance standards and conduct regular evaluations.
  • Handle guest complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Implement cost-effective cleaning practices and monitor budgetary performance.
