Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Supervision: Manage and lead the housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating their performance.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet the hotel’s cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Budget Management: Manage the housekeeping budget, including labor costs, cleaning supply inventory, and amenities.
  • Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the ordering, stocking, and use of housekeeping supplies to ensure proper inventory control.
  • Policy and Procedure Implementation: Develop and enforce housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and the front desk, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Guest Relations: Address and resolve guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the department complies with health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Inspection and Audits: Regularly inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet quality standards and address any issues identified.
  • Staff Development: Foster a positive work environment, providing ongoing training and development opportunities for the housekeeping team.
