About The Position

The corporate driver and security resource is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting the CEO/Executive/Corporate staff to various locations, ensuring punctuality, and maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness and functionality. This role requires strong communication skills, discretion, and the ability to adapt to schedule changes. A key aspect is maintaining confidentiality and providing a safe and comfortable environment for the CEO and Executive/Corporate Staff. The driver should be proficient in advanced driving techniques to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency for their passengers. These techniques not only enhance the driving experience but also prepare the driver to handle a wide range of on-road scenarios. In addition to responsibilities as driver, when not driving, the driver/security resource will also assist the security department with various task, including but not limited to conducting security audits, security training, assisting with access controls, etc.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, discretion, dependability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of professional driving experience (e.g., police, military, chauffeur, etc.) is required, with a preference for experience in a corporate or executive setting.
  • Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record is essential.
  • Professional Demeanor: A professional appearance and communication style are required for both driver responsibilities and security audit responsibilities.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding passengers and travel details.
  • Navigation and Route Planning: Strong knowledge of navigation systems and the ability to plan efficient routes.
  • Confidentiality: Must be able to maintain confidentiality as an auditor, recognizing that any compromise can compromise our security processes.
  • Time Management and Punctuality: Ability to manage time effectively and arrive on time for scheduled departures.

  • Must be available to work various shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime with little to no prior notice.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport company executives to and from specified locations.
  • Performing regular vehicle checks, ensuring the car is clean, fueled, and in good working order, while maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the vehicle.
  • Ensure the safe and punctual arrival of executives at their destinations, often requiring navigation through traffic and route planning to ensure the most efficient travel.
  • Identify the best routes, utilize navigation devices, and stay informed about traffic and road conditions.
  • Ensure confidentiality and privacy of all conversations and information in the vehicle, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding conversations and sensitive information overheard during transport.
  • Present a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, representing the company well.
  • Communicate effectively with the executive, their administrative assistant, and with security personnel when needed.
  • Ability to adjust to schedule changes, traffic delays, or other unforeseen circumstances, while adapting to changing schedules and routes as necessary.
  • Assisting passengers as needed with packages, luggage, etc.
  • Stay current on the latest driver safety regulations, best practices, and emerging driver safety technologies.
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of each location's physical security measures, policies, and procedures to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
  • The resource will work with the security department to identify key locations and assets and develop a process to audit physical assets and locations that require protection, including critical infrastructure like data centers or sensitive areas like product lockups, etc.
  • The driver/security resource will review existing security measures, evaluate current access control systems, surveillance systems, emergency protocols, and other security measures in order to ensure safety and security of all BWC personnel.
  • During facility audits, the driver/security resource will engage with local staff members to gather insights into security/safety concerns while observing daily operations to assess the practical implementation of security measures.
  • This position will document all findings, including photographs or other supporting evidence, and present observations/recommendations to the security department for improving physical security.
  • The driver/security resource will create a target visit schedule and distribute to all locations.
  • Additionally, the driver/security resource will conduct periodic, impromptu and unannounced audits.
  • Other duties as assigned
