Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and document unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
Support a professional environment by assisting with visitor directions, de-escalation of tense situations, and coordination with site personnel during medical and/or facility-related events.
