The Franklin Johns Creek is a beautiful retirement community offering assisted living and memory care services in Johns Creek. As the new operator of this wonderful community, Franklin prides itself on a People First Culture and a focus on serving our residents with excellence. For over 10 years, Franklin has developed and operated senior housing communities in Texas. The recent acquisition in Johns Creek is part of our growth plan for 2026 and beyond. We are looking for an experienced community leader who wants to make a difference to serve as our next Executive Director. General Description The Executive Director is totally responsible for the management of the Assisted Living and/or Memory Care community. Also, they ensure every aspect of the community is operating in alignment with Franklin's high standards of care, culinary, cleanliness, courteous service, enriching activities, well maintained physical plant, and happy team members, within a achievable budget. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the community operates within company policies, and the compliance standards for the state of Georgia as well as all federal regulations.

Requirements

Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Bi-lingual a plus.
Experience using Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook software.
Mid-level typing skills required.
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, residents, family members, and outside contacts.
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
Able to manage revenue and expense budget.
Knowledge of current Federal and State laws pertaining to AL, MC communities respectively.
Able to make independent decisions.
Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens.
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required with appropriate work experience.
Strong leadership skills with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in supervising and management in a related position.
Three or more years Senior Living experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Stand and/or walk up to six (6) hours a day and sit up to two (2) hours a day.
Occasionally support up to 35 pounds.
Occasionally kneel, bend, and reach.
Vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Subject to infectious diseases, substances, odors, etc. throughout the work day.

CALM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements community resident relations programs; solicits feedback from residents, families, and others to maintain and/or improve community hospitality and services.
Establishes effective relationships with other community department heads to ensure high quality resident care while fostering an inter-departmental cooperation.
Oversees and monitors nursing services (if applicable) to ensure high quality nursing delivery systems.
Monitor resident care on a daily basis; conduct daily rounds; implement quality assurance programs for all departments.
Establish positive rapport with regulatory agencies; keep updated on changes in federal, state, and local regulations.
Oversee facility management of the community.
Directs community safety and loss prevention program; monitors adherence to safety rules and regulations and takes remedial action when necessary.
Contacts the resident's family when a change in services is needed.
Leads and participates in a resident/family conference to review changes in services.
Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Assist in the development of the residence's budget.
Make final decision on resident move-ins and move-outs based on the well-being of the resident and in accordance with the residence policies and procedures.
Plans and develops operating budget within company guidelines.
Regularly monitors department performance and regularly analyzes the community P&L status taking corrective action when necessary.
Trains community management in pertinent cost control techniques.
Directs and monitors community inventory control systems.
Responsible for managing all contracted services.
Responsible for creating the annual budget for the community.
Maintain a high level of occupancy.
Provides leadership and direction in the marketing of the community including developing relations with local referral sources.
Represents the residence to the community, family members, and visitors and develop positive relations with all customer.
Oversees the recruitment, selection, retention and termination of all community employees.
Ensures adequate and effective orientation and training of community job-specific duties.
Supervises and evaluates all community managers by providing ongoing coaching and timely feedback.
Ensures that all employees meet or exceed company standards of appearance, sanitation and health standards.
Establishes positive employee relations programs, recognition programs and practices.
Oversees and manages the community compensation, recommending wage increases and adjustments when necessary.
Ensures that all staff maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
Provides an "open door'' to employees and address any concerns and grievances within a timely manner and in accordance to company standards.
Ensures the appropriate handling of on-the-job injuries as reported by employees.
Encourages teamwork and promotes company philosophy.
Is prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basis.
