About The Position

PATH Ventures is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Senior Leadership Team as the Executive Director, working out of our main office in Los Angeles, California. ABOUT PATH VENTURES PATH Ventures is a statewide leader in the development of affordable and supportive housing communities. Recognizing that homelessness is fundamentally a housing issue, PATH, one of the largest homeless services providers in California, created PATH Ventures in 2007. Since its creation, PATH Ventures has completed 27 residential projects and is on track to have a total of 44 residential communities in the next several years. ABOUT THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Executive Director leads an organization with a portfolio of 30 housing developments across the State of California and oversees its primary functions in the areas of acquisition, real estate development, finance and asset management.

  • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
  • The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage
  • Ten (10) or more years’ experience in housing development, business, finance, urban planning, or a related field, preferably for a non-profit, government agency, or private financial institution.
  • Six (6) of the ten years of experience must include supervising staff, specifically inspiring and mentoring staff, and helping them meet outcomes.

  • Master's Degree in planning, business, real estate, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • With oversight from the Board and CFO, creates and manages the organization's annual budget.
  • Oversees establishment and implementation of accounting policies and procedures that meet the specific needs of PATH Ventures as a property owner and developer.
  • Provides oversight and strategic support to the organization's real estate development activities.
  • Ensures the availability of adequate financial resources for real estate projects in the pipeline.
  • Oversees the establishment and expansion of the organization's asset management functions.
  • Ensures compliance with organizational and property regulatory requirements.
  • Implement innovative housing solutions outside of the traditional models of development of supportive and affordable housing.
  • Oversee the acquisition of new projects.
  • Oversee employee performance evaluations, conduct regular and routine supervision meetings, ensure timely review and management of timesheets and attendance issues in a consistent manner, provide recognition and corrective action as needed, address concerns, and facilitate problem resolutions.
  • Represent the company in employment-related matters as part of supervisory responsibilities, including participation in court proceedings, unemployment hearings, and other relevant legal or regulatory processes.
  • Attend and actively engage in all required training sessions as assigned by the company and apply learned skills and knowledge to daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Attend and actively engage in all required staff meetings and events on and off-site (when applicable).
