We are seeking an Executive Director to join our team for our programs in Allegheny County, Westmoreland County, Washington County, Cambria County, and Blair County. The Executive Director plays a pivotal role in the overall management and leadership of the organization and their identified Division, responsible for guiding strategic direction of their assigned area, overseeing operations, and driving organizational growth. Reporting to the Senior Executive Director, this position works closely with the senior leadership team, staff, volunteers, and external partners to advance our mission and achieve our goals.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Human Service field required
  • 5-10 years' experience overseeing and managing programs for individuals with an IDD
  • IDD Experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.
  • Ensure that programs adhere to best practices, regulatory standards, evidence-based standards of care and Merakey policies and procedures.
  • Monitor program outcomes, client satisfaction, and quality indicators to drive continuous improvement and enhance service delivery.
  • Makes data-driven decisions utilizing PowerBI data analytics to monitor program performance, track key performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with program managers and staff to address challenges, identify best practices, and promote innovation
  • Take responsibility for the profit and loss (P&L) of the assigned regions.
  • Develop and manage the organization's annual budget in collaboration with Executive Leadership.
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability in all financial operations.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial sustainability.
  • Advocate for internal resources, including staff, budget allocations, and operational support, to ensure that programmatic priorities are aligned with organizational goals and adequately resourced for success.
  • Provide visionary leadership to a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of empathy, collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop talented staff members who are committed to the organization's mission.
  • Promote staff engagement and professional growth through mentorship, training, and performance management.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, government agencies, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, joint initiatives, and collective impact efforts to address systemic issues affecting our target populations.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events to raise awareness, build support, and advocate for policy change.
