Children’s Community Charter School (CCCS) is a public charter school located in Paradise, California, serving students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade with a focus on whole-child development and academic excellence. This school, still rebuilding after the 2018 Camp Fire that devastated Paradise, is rooted in over three decades of service to the Ridge community. CCCS is dedicated to nurturing each student’s potential by blending rigorous academics with behavioral, social, and emotional learning in a supportive, inclusive environment. The school’s mission is to ensure high levels of learning for all students, emphasizing academic achievement alongside emotional resilience and meaningful family partnerships. CCCS’s vision is to prepare every student to be college and career ready, resilient, empathetic, and equipped with the skills needed to thrive in life. Core values such as collaboration, growth mindset, lifelong learning, interdependency, accountability, and empathy guide the school’s culture and community engagement. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced, trauma-informed, mission-driven school leader to serve in a dual capacity as both Executive Director and Principal of Children’s Community Charter School. In this role, the selected leader will divide their time and responsibilities across two distinct but closely connected functions. As Executive Director, the leader will serve as the school’s chief executive, reporting directly to the Governing Board and acting as Secretary to the Governing Board, overseeing charter operations, compliance, fiscal management, personnel systems, and overall organizational effectiveness. As Principal, the leader will provide instructional leadership and oversee the day-to-day school site operations, including curriculum implementation, staff supervision and evaluation, student safety and discipline, school culture, and family and community engagement. Together, these responsibilities position the Executive Director/Principal as the central leader ensuring CCCS’s academic excellence, operational strength, and whole-child mission are advanced with integrity and care.
