ROLE SUMMARY Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Value & Access, the Executive Director of Patient Services & Channel Operations will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the Patient Services and Channel strategies for both saroglitazar and the subsequent Zydus Therapeutics pipeline. This will result in a seamless and frictionless patient and HCP experience when obtaining access to our products. The successful Patient Services outcome is unimpeded and timely patient access to therapy with a focus on adherence. This individual will oversee the development of our patient services concept and value proposition while aligning with brand strategy and seeking out innovative and new approaches to patient services through market research and cross functional collaboration. The successful Channel Operations outcome is a channel and distribution strategy that will economically provide seamless product distribution, complete data collection and guarantee product integrity/pedigree. The Executive Director of Patient Services & Channel Operations will lead the buildout of this team, including a Director of Patient Services and a Director of Trade, Distribution, and Channel. This role will also partner closely with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders including: Medical, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Supply Chain External Affairs and other relevant teams across the Zydus Lifesciences organization. This role will be pivotal to the success of the Company as the organization transitions into a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, with an advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of proven pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience (preferably with rare or specialty pharmaceuticals)
  • 5+ years of Specialty Pharmacy and Patient Services experience
  • Outstanding customer relationships, interpersonal, and communication skills with the established ability to effectively work with diverse audiences and influence cros-functionally
  • Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to effectively analyze data to determine trends and inform strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of patient access strategies, with a proven track record of successful channel and patient support services for rare disease or specialty drugs.
  • Strong leadership and business acumen, with ability to manage multiple priorities, processes, timelines and expectations of multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Exhibit high capability at working collaboratively, with the ability to prioritize effectively, addressing short-term needs while maintaining a focus on long-term strategies.
  • Proven ability to recruit, coach, develop and retain high caliber talent.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a vision and strategy for the design, operations, continuous improvement and performance monitoring of our reimbursement support/patient services offerings. This includes financial assistance and patient assistance programs (PAP) for qualified, appropriate patients to assist in access and adherence to our products.
  • Create and execute a distribution and channel strategy that differentiates Zydus Therapeutics in the marketplace and supports a seamless and frictionless experience for our patients, HCPs, and office staff.
  • Leverage the patient journey and available data to optimize patient engagement and adherence
  • Deliver and manage a patient services program that delivers the highest compliant access for appropriate patients and provides world-class customer service (for both internal and external customers)
  • Efficiently and economically have ongoing negotiations with third party HUB vendor to provide best in class patient services that align with strategy, data needs and patient support plan
  • Manage, mentor and coach team members on key company objectives and inspire the team to achieve them; includes ongoing team training and personal development
  • Implement new approaches and technologies to facilitate achievement of group's objectives
  • Provide strategic and tactical input to continuous improvement processes and development in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and Zydus Therapeutics policies and procedures
  • Act as a strategic thinker and lead without authority at times, while collaborating across functional areas in order to drive business forward
  • Work directly with field teams (Sales, Market Access) to help educate HCPs and provide potential issue resolution
  • Monitor and report channel contract KPIs with Specialty Pharmacies and distributors to ensure product distribution, data access/aggregation, and product integrity
  • Troubleshoot payer-specific reimbursement challenges in partnership with other Market Access teams
  • Pull through plans that allow field sales to participate in cross-functional team/projects that enhance business and provide developmental opportunities
  • Stay abreast of the changing conditions in market and product portfolio to ensure that all supply chain and patient service’s activities reflect actual business/organizational needs while meeting the needs of the target audience and maintaining highest quality of service
  • Understand the legal and compliance environment and drive collaboration with the Legal and Compliance team
