About The Position

The Executive Director of Strategic Sourcing and Value Analysis provides direction and strategic vision for strategic sourcing functions across clinical direct and indirect spend categories including value analysis, contracting, procurement, and supplier relationship management. The executive director implements clinically integrated processes, operating standards, sourcing methodologies, supplier qualification and collaboration in sourcing, contracting, and its associated value analysis activities. The executive director will provide critical strategic sourcing leadership for the organization to deliver cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier rationalization, and supply chain resiliency. This position is required to lead teams of cross-functional stakeholders through a structured multi step strategic sourcing processes; to capture business requirements, analyze supply markets, develop appropriate sourcing strategy, evaluate prospective supplier responses, select suppliers and negotiate agreements that deliver best in class value to the organization. The executive director will manage and train a highly skilled group of procurement, strategic sourcing/contract managers and clinicians.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a management/leadership position with a minimum of 5 years’ experience leading projects in a collaborative team environment.
  • Master’s degree in business, Finance, or Supply Chain
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes and methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of clinical products and equipment, the associated marketplace, and the stakeholders involved in the use of these products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contract structures, terms, conditions, risk mitigation, and experience executing/drafting business requirements and key performance indicators in contracts.
  • Proven and successful results in all aspects of healthcare supply chain, contracting, value analysis, vendor relations, project management, and customer service.
