This position is not eligible for tenure/non-probational status. Manage the Financial Aid operations of the college to include providing oversight for the hiring, supervision, and evaluation of all department staff. Plan, organize, and implement student aid programs in accordance with the goals and objectives of the college and as required by state and federalregulations. Provide institutional oversight and evaluation of all financial aid functions and processes, which may include but are not limited to eligibility, verifications, SAP, Return to Title IV, institutional scholarships, VA, consortium agreements, FVT, etc. Ensure complete and timely submission of all federal, state, and institutional reports (FISAP, PPAs, FVT, ASAP,etc.) related to student financial aid. Prepare contracts, certifications, reports, and sponsorships for third-party contracts which may include WIOA, TRA/TAA, VA, etc. Coordinate Student Financial Services operations to ensure that students needing assistance with federal and state aid areserved appropriately. Participate in college, system, division, and association professional development activities, while staying informed on financial aid regulations and guidelines. Review and stay updated on all federal and state mandated changes eachyear. Implement adjustments to ensure compliance and educate staff and appropriate others as required. Maintain and complete regular updates to the financial aid policy and proceduremanual to ensure content is consistent with applicable federal and state regulations and related guidelines. Work with students and their families to determine which financial aid options are available andassist them with related applicationprocedures. Oversee and balance all federal and state funds handled by the financial aidoffice. Partner with the Business Office, Admissions, Registrar, and appropriate others to complete related student financial aid processes in a timely manner. Provide training for students each semester regarding financial debt and general financial literacy. Establish a regular cycle of financial aid and FAFSA workshops for local high school counselors in order to train them to provide financial aid and FAFSA training to their students. Ensure training is created and delivered to college personnel on financial aid basics so they may assist students with general financial aid questions. Work with students and staff to resolve conflicts related to the application and understanding of financialaid policies. Prepare and maintain the Student Financial Services departmentalbudget. Represent the college with externalgroups. Visit local high schools, businesses, and organizations to provide financial aid information. Set-up security passwords for COD, EdAmerica, NSLDS, and other third-party partners periodically changing passwords as required by CPS, as needed. Attend all Financial Aid workshops and conferences as required. Train and monitor employees' ability to follow applicable Federal, State and Local policies and procedures. Assist the college in achieving its institutional goals to include establishing and executing departmental unit plans. Serve on various college committees as assigned.
