Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit clinical reports, protocols and policy
  • Proven efficiency with Microsoft word, Electronic Health Records Systems, clinical case formulation and with conducting various assessments for diagnosing and behavior planning
  • Awareness of cultural factors in relation to providing superior clinical services
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Doctorate degree or License in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, BCBA or Education
  • Minimum 10 years of supervision and clinical experience in IDD/MI and or Autism Spectrum Services.

Nice To Haves

  • NADD-Clinical Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees recruitment and new hire onboarding processes, including interviewing.
  • Provides ongoing guidance, mentoring, feedback and motivation to staff to ensure competent performance while adhering to program and Merakey policies and procedures.
  • Recommends, documents and delivers decisions in personnel-related matters, including performance review, disciplinary actions, terminations, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Develops, ensures, and models collaborative work environment in support of Merakey’s Core Values.
  • Creates a culture that fully engages employees and empowers them to suggest and make decisions for continuing improvement
  • Manages training plans for clinicians and specialized programs and the External Clinical Consult Service Line.
  • Actively participates in external and internal committees as assigned
  • Collaborates with Human Resources (HR) and residential executive directors by providing consultation, training and behavioral and mental health services internally and externally as requested, contracted and/or assigned.
  • Manages and provides individual Clinical Supervision to a team of Clinical Directors, and regional behavior professionals
  • Co -Facilitates Groups supervision of the National team twice a day on one day of the month to allow all to participate
  • Partners with operational leadership to manage individual performance, discipline and terminations of Clinical Directors to include recognizing achievements and exceptional performances.
  • Works closely with legal and finance department in managing external Clinical Service Contracts
  • Manages internal and contracted behavior, medical and therapeutic professionals
  • Assigns, recommends and or provides internal and external clinical consultation, assessment and training enterprise wide as well as follow up education when appropriate
  • Chairs Human Rights Teams (HRT) Committees (HRC).
  • Reviews, edits and provides feedback toward the continued improvements of Clinical Consultation, Risk Assessment and Other Clinical Reports
  • Reviews and provides feedback on behavior plans, assessments and/or reports completed b
  • Provides Behavior Services in the absence of such services at Merakey site locations, based on assignment, expertise or in the event of vacant Clinical Director or behavior professional services.
  • Provides external consultation services for assessments, training, speaking engagements and/or contracted behavior services based on need, assignment, or expertise.
  • All other duties as assigned
