About The Position

Esplanade Golf & Country Club at Lakewood Ranch is seeking a passionate, creative, and team-oriented Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations. This role offers the opportunity to join an exceptional Troon-managed club and work alongside an outstanding team in our newly remodeled kitchen and chef's line, a central part of our exciting transformation. The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary functions including menu development, staff leadership, food quality and consistency, budgeting, and overall member satisfaction. This is an ideal role for a hands-on leader who values collaboration, innovation, and excellence in every plate served.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or senior culinary leader within the private club or resort industry.
  • SERV Safe Food Manager certification required.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, labor, and control costs.
  • High level of professionalism, creativity, and passion for hospitality.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented leader who leads by example and builds trust through action.
  • Strong leadership ability with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional and polished demeanor with a commitment to representing the club and Troon brand with integrity.
  • Ability to create high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability, enthusiasm, and excellence.
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and inspires others through positive examples.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates a passion for member satisfaction and delivering elevated dining experiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-unit restaurant and banquet experience helpful.
  • Familiarity with HACCP Plans Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences across multiple outlets and events.
  • Oversee menu planning, costing, and execution with a focus on seasonal, high-quality ingredients.
  • Manage ordering, inventory, vendor relationships, and kitchen budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and quality standards.
  • Develop, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
  • Partner closely with the Food & Beverage Director to align culinary operations with club goals and guest expectations.
  • Participate actively in member dining experiences, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Troon corporate culinary leaders and participate in networking and best-practice sharing opportunities.
