About The Position

We’re looking for an Executive Chef who is equal parts visionary and operator. Someone who thrives in a high-volume, high-standard environment and leads from the line with creativity, precision, and heart. The Executive Chef is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and kitchen hygiene — while building a team culture that reflects the Atlas Core Values: Professionalism, Excellence, Responsibility, Trust, Teamwork, Training, Uniqueness, and Community. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring sharp attention to detail, a positive attitude, strong financial acumen, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of culinary leaders.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of high-volume dining leadership experience
  • Proven ability to manage labor and food costs successfully
  • Strong knowledge of cuisines, cooking techniques, and dietary accommodations
  • Experience mentoring and developing kitchen teams
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Calm, solution-oriented mindset in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with restaurant systems such as Toast (POS), ADP Workforce Now, Restaurant365, Avero, and XtraChef
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for budgeting and forecasting
  • Valid form of identification
  • ServSafe Certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an Asian concept or Asian-inspired cuisine is highly advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and supervise all food preparation and production
  • Ensure every dish meets Stingray and Atlas quality standards
  • Create and evolve menus that are innovative, cost-effective, and sales-driving
  • Maintain consistency in timing, presentation, and execution
  • Drive creativity while protecting profitability
  • Recruit, hire, and develop top culinary talent
  • Teach and mentor team members to elevate skills and performance
  • Lead by example — no task is beneath you
  • Resolve staffing challenges fairly and efficiently
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and growth
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual food cost and labor goals
  • Monitor operating budgets and control controllable expenses
  • Maintain proper inventory and stock levels
  • Partner with leadership to hit back-of-house financial targets
  • Arrange equipment repairs and manage kitchen assets
