About The Position

Ancon is a trusted government contractor supporting federal agencies with professional, technical, and operational expertise. We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support a senior executive within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This is a high-visibility, mission-critical position within a fast-growing organization operating in a dynamic and evolving environment. Position Overview: This Executive Assistant will provide direct onsite support to a senior FAA executive. The office is moving quickly with ambitious operational goals, and this role is essential to maintaining executive effectiveness, coordination, and organizational stability during projected growth. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced federal environments, demonstrates sound judgment, anticipates executive needs, and manages competing priorities with professionalism and discretion. This position is fully onsite in downtown Washington, DC.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or higher (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant executive or federal administrative experience
  • Prior federal government experience required
  • Experience supporting senior-level leadership in a structured federal environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Ability to adapt to a demanding and rapidly evolving organizational environment
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using travel systems such as E2 and Castle
  • Familiarity with FAA policies and procedures
  • Experience within aviation, transportation, or similarly complex federal organizations

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative and program support to a senior executive and associated FAA teams
  • Manage executive and group calendars, meeting coordination, and scheduling priorities
  • Develop and maintain office rosters, phone lists, recall rosters, and team calendars
  • Prepare, review, and distribute executive-level correspondence, documentation, and materials
  • Coordinate mail distribution, document reproduction services, and express mail operations
  • Assist with offsite meeting planning, including conference room scheduling and logistics
  • Support coordination of team travel using the FAA E2 travel system, including review of travel authorizations and vouchers
  • Track action items, maintain organization across evolving priorities, and ensure timely follow-through on executive directives
  • Serve as a professional liaison between leadership, internal teams, and stakeholders
