About The Position

Through its category-leading technology and innovative approach, EquityZen delivers data-driven insights and tools that empower its 800,000 users to navigate the private markets with confidence. Having completed more than 51,000 private placements in nearly 500 private companies, EquityZen is on a mission to deliver “Private Markets for the Public.” This role would be supporting our EquityZen business leads, with a variety of administrative, organizational, and logistical responsibilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to interface with senior-level executives across the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management division. The ideal candidate embodies the firm’s core values, is team oriented and will collaborate across the organization. The candidate brings knowledge of operational processes and administrative capabilities as well as demonstrated experience supporting executive leaders. This individual must have excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to use or self-learn technology systems, the ability to manage a fast-paced work environment and effectively multi-task. This is an on-site role based in lower Manhattan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 5+ years of professional experience
  • Familiarity with Morgan Stanley and the financial services/wealth management industry, required
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
  • A detail-oriented self-starter who is eager to take on complex assignments
  • Someone who exhibits sound judgement with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Someone who is energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
  • An individual who is comfortable interacting with high-level executives
  • A team-player capable of cultivating productive working relationships across the firm
  • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills

Responsibilities

  • Managing complex schedules with focus on proactively identifying and resolving conflicts and communicating them to senior executives in a timely manner
  • Handling travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, and ground transportation; collecting all relevant details and preparing trip itineraries; communicating with trip organizers
  • Vetting and prioritizing requests for meetings and external appearances
  • Organizing and submitting expenses including securing pre-approvals for internal and external (product vendor) as required
  • Answering phone inquiries and directing as appropriate
  • Planning, organizing and implementing events such as team meetings, department wide events and off-sites
  • Performing ad hoc administrative and business management responsibilities
  • Creating presentations and providing meeting summaries
  • Shadowing the executive or serving as proxy in lower or midtown Manhattan offices as needed
  • Taking on special department projects as capacity allows
