About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Vice President of Advancement/Executive Director of the Foundation. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. This role manages the VP’s complex calendar, coordinates high-level meetings and travel, and ensures the VP is fully prepared with briefings and key information. The Executive Assistant will handle sensitive communications, draft correspondence, and independently resolve inquiries or direct them to the appropriate leaders. Additional responsibilities include managing travel arrangements, processing expenses, and staying current on policies and procedures that impact the Division. The role also supports the Foundation Board Manager in planning and executing Board meetings, special projects, event coordination, and divisional initiatives as assigned. The ideal candidate is: Highly attentive to detail and exceptional at managing priorities Experienced in supporting senior or executive-level leadership Strong in communication, both written and verbal Discreet, dependable, and solutions-focused Skilled at working in fast-paced, high-level administrative settings

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience which included overseeing administrative office activities, maintaining complex records, and coordinating administrative communication including written and oral information to various managers and work groups; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant IV in Nevada State service which included administrative support duties as described above; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

  • Seeking candidates with strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, M365 Copilot), as well as Workday and Zoom, is preferred.
