The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the Mayor and Chief of Staff by managing daily activities, maintaining the Chief of Staff's calendar, handling personal and official correspondence, drafting proclamations and certificates, and overseeing the process for the Mayor's signature and signing time. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the Mayor's and Chief of Staff's schedules are executed efficiently and that official documents and communications reflect the priorities and voice of the administration. The Executive Assistant works closely with the Scheduler, Deputy Scheduler, Deputy Chief of Staff, and other members of the Mayor's Office to maintain smooth operations and excellent constituent service. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, strong writing ability, discretion, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position reports to the Deputy Chief of Staff and supports both the Mayor and Chief of Staff. Mayoral staff (non-civil service) receive 15 days of Paid Time Off and 12 sick days annually.
