About The Position

The First Baptist Church of Glenarden is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Chief Ministry Officer (CMO). This role is critical to the effectiveness of executive leadership and requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and organizational excellence. The Executive Assistant will manage daily operations of the executive office, coordinate complex schedules and events, and support strategic initiatives that advance the mission and vision of the church. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes, while maintaining a spirit of excellence and a servant’s heart.

Requirements

  • Must be saved, possess a servant’s heart, and be a member (or willing to become a member) in good standing at FBCG.
  • Must be able to submit to pastoral authority
  • Must display a Christ-like demeanor, especially in demanding situations
  • Must have an understanding and appreciation for the mission and ministry of FBCG
  • Minimum of 5 years of executive-level administrative support experience (C-suite preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and office technology
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a spirit of hospitality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes and competing priorities
  • Ability to lift items and remain on your feet for extended periods during even

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field preferred
  • Experience supporting senior or executive leadership required

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the executive office
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support including calendar management, email review, correspondence, and phone coverage
  • Prepare reports, presentations, briefings, and executive documents
  • Maintain confidential files and sensitive information with discretion
  • Support executive leadership with project management, data tracking, and budget oversight
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and monitor progress
  • Provide decision support through research, analysis, and recommendations
  • Ensure operational workflows are effective and aligned with organizational goals
  • Coordinate meetings, travel, and executive engagements
  • Prepare meeting agendas, materials, and follow-up documentation
  • Oversee logistics for executive-hosted meetings, special events, and ministry initiatives
  • Coordinate guest logistics, including speakers and special participants
  • Supervise, develop, and support administrative staff as assigned
  • Represent the executive office in meetings and cross-functional initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and execution of priorities
