About The Position

Assist with day-to-day functions of the department to meet the objectives of the area, department, and District while serving as the assistant to the Assistant Superintendent of Special Populations Familiarity with databases such as Oracle, Office 365 | Microsoft Office, and Google Suite Serve as the liaison between the Assistant Superintendent of Special Populations and the other department directors, providing information and instruction relating to the department's daily operations. Organize, maintain and assist in refining routine office work procedures Initiate, track, and submit all departmental bi-weekly and monthly payroll records Generate requisitions for supplies and services as needed Review formatting, grammar, and messaging of draft memos and correspondence Assist with creation and refinement of draft proposals, slide presentations, and documentation Maintain files on vendors, expenditures, payroll, and equipment distribution Schedule appointments, maintain, and provide calendar information for a highly complex calendar for the Assistant Superintendent of Special Populations Ensure the proper processing of all district forms and adherence to District Policy Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U. S. A. equivalency) required, Advanced administrative training, or an Associate's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements

  • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U. S. A. equivalency) required, Advanced administrative training, or an Associate's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of directly related experience.
  • Ability in MS Office suite, proficient in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and graphic applications.
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of district personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of district organizations, operations, and administrative policies preferred.
