This Department is responsible for selling Motorola Solutions public safety solutions to city, county and state agencies in the United States. This is a long-cycle sales position in a highly competitive marketplace. The Executive Account Manager will proactively develop large project opportunities encompassing a wide range of products and services (core and emerging technologies) with particular focus on next generation technology. The Executive Account Manager will be a part of the Strategic Project Team and responsible for the following:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 4+ years of documented track record of sales performance within a technology environment
  • Effective and proven negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with C-Level executives
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Highly effective communication skills (oral, written, & presentation)
  • Ability to drive strategies with government customers for Motorola success in the bid environment
  • Understanding of public safety domain, Motorola Solutions portfolio, competitive landscape, customer procurement processes, and has dealt effectively with political decision-making landscapes
  • Ability to quickly learn Salesforce as the project reporting tool and forecast method
  • Remote-based position and must be willing to travel 60%+ throughout the Southeast
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 4+ years of documented track record of sales performance within a technology environment
  • Ability to negotiate large contracts and interact with C-level executives

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong, trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within and outside of public safety: Mayor, CIO, and other elected officials in order to understand and influence funding
  • Interact with senior customer level and consultants/lobbyists; work independently under limited direction
  • Maintain target customer intelligence data in Motorola Solutions CRM system; provide timely & accurate sales forecast
  • Drive strategies with government customers for Motorola Solutions success in the bid environment
  • Network with key Motorola Solution’s work partners including presales engineers, area services team, marketing, product management, sales operations, and order/credit management to ensure your territory objectives are met
  • Leverage territory promotions and incentives to drive current quarter revenue targets
  • Be aware of competition and technology disruptors that may impact your territory and partner community
  • Understand Motorola Solutions contract terms & compliance requirements
  • Drive and accelerate deals and their timelines
  • Manage lobbyists, their budgets, and strategic giving plans
