Exceptional Educational Assistant JobID: 8062 Position Type: Educational Assistant/Exceptional Educational Assistant Date Posted: 11/14/2025 Location: Paine Elementary School Closing Date: 12/01/2025 Additional Information: Show/Hide Qualifications: 48 College Credits or an Associate's Degree or passed the State Title I Paraprofessional Test Ability to work one on one with a student who has exceptional needs Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while also presenting a positive image of the District to members of the community Ability to to effectively collaborate with the classroom teacher Prior experience supporting students with disabilities preferred Supportive, patient, and flexible Ability to work on a team to support student academic and behavioral needs Lunch, recess, and bus supervision Hourly rate $21.50 per hour In accordance with S-414/A-3188 (http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/S0500/414_R2.HTM), school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers ("employers") are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
Requirements
- 48 College Credits or an Associate's Degree or passed the State Title I Paraprofessional Test
