About The Position

Provides direct instruction to students who cannot attend school due to medical or other reasons, implementing their Individualized Education Program (IEP) in a home setting.

Requirements

  • Hold an Exceptional Children's Teacher License

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one instruction to a student in their home or designated location for a limited number of hours per week.
  • Implement the student's specific Individualized Education Plan (IEP, including any necessary accommodations or modifications.
  • Stay in regular contact with the student's classroom teacher(s), parents, and other school staff to ensure consistency and share information.
  • Create and adapt lesson plans and activities to be suitable for the home environment, which may include using technology, games, and hands-on materials.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of the student's progress and instruction, adhering to federal, state, and local policies.
