POSITION TITLE: Exceptional Children's Adapted Curriculum Teacher SITE: Jarvisburg Elementary SChool REPORTS TO: Principal & EC Director TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month SALARY: Per NC State Salary Schedule plus local supplement STARTING DATE: August 11, 2025 EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED: Must hold or be eligible to hold appropriate NC Licensure from the NC Department of Public Instruction Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to high achievement for all students Positive role model both professionally and personally PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Teacher should be able to assist students in: Adhere to ethical standards of the teaching profession, abiding by laws, policies and procedures that govern the schools Must be certified in Special Education Must be deemed "Highly Qualified" to teach special education Prepare lessons and provide learning opportunities in accordance with the academic level needed to reach exceptional children in a classroom setting Maintain classroom surroundings in order to enhance the learning environment Commitment to high achievement for all students DISCLAIMER The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. Requirements
