About The Position

Under supervision of the environmental services manager, the environmental service technician maintains environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures of the health care facility. Assignments include cleaning of patient rooms, occupied and unoccupied, public areas, surgical areas as well as additional areas as assigned, stocking of supplies, and cleaning and maintaining equipment. Provides service to both internal and external customers and follow standard practices and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements. Receives working instructions, and work is frequently audited for accuracy and compliance with standards of quality. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. Join Our Team at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital!   • Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms (both occupied and unoccupied), public areas, surgical areas, and other spaces as assigned
  • Stock supplies and keep equipment clean and in working order
  • Follow safety and infection control guidelines to ensure the hospital is always clean and safe
  • Provide excellent service to both hospital staff and patients
  • Work closely with the Environmental Services Manager to make sure all tasks are completed to the highest standards
  • Follow detailed instructions and regularly check your work to meet quality standards
