About The Position

The EVS Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and presentation for the property. Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber guest service to all patrons/team members. Assist department Manager and Assistant Manager with staff development and training programs of EVS Attendants under the direction of the Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure cleaning standards, maintenance standards, and set up standards regulations. Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and coordinate with other departments to maintain a welcome and sanitary environment for both guests and staff. Assign EVS personnel to their job duties, answers radios calls, update Team Members work history as needed, and complete shift pass down/schedules. Comply with all company policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • One year of supervisory experience and/or in a similar casino resort environment required.
  • One year of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry required.
  • Requires basic knowledge or environmental services, floor/carpet care knowledge and understanding of all equipment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed.
  • Ability to make sound decisions immediately without supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment, with varying lighting and air quality (may occasionally be exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke).
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and potential contact with biohazards (with proper PPE) • Proficiency of computer software includes Outlook, Microsoft360, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency of office equipment: Telephone, copier, scanner, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and schedule EVS Attendants to ensure consistent cleanliness in all public areas, including gaming floors, restrooms, restaurants, hotel areas (if applicable), offices, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and feedback, and assist in performance evaluations.
  • Assist in managing administrative duties, to include payroll edits, attendance, scheduling, and conducting interviews as needed.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs and inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards, sanitation procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing education on cleaning techniques, chemical safety, equipment usage, and guest service.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, special cleaning needs, or emergencies (e.g., spills, biohazards, inclement weather).
  • Maintain and monitor supply inventory, order necessary cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines, company policies, and state/local health codes.
  • Complete daily checklist from assigned inspection zones, record and report any maintenance deficiencies to the engineering team.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Communicate facility information on events, and compliance guidelines by conducting preshift meetings daily.
  • Preform other duties as assigned
